The Centre for Alternative Technology

During the summer of 2004 I headed off to mid Wales to spend several weeks at The Centre for Alternative Technology. (www.cat.org.uk). Formed thirty years ago on the site of a slate quarry, CAT is a amazing place and has progressed from basic examples of sustainable living to research in renewable technologies and now is one of Europe’s foremost facilities in many areas of sustainable education.
