Objects of affection. Uncomplicated personal products exploring ideas of user attachment and wear.
Leather is one of the few materials that can be said to improve with age and use; it wears well. It posses a natural memory that grows with the relationship one has with the object. Not only does it gradually change in appearance and feel but it morphs physically and moulds to the way it is being used. This creates a greater sense of attachment between the owner and object. The item cannot be replaced by a new one because a new one will never hold the same properties – that of uniqueness and individuality – personally developed over time. Hence increasing product endurance and enriching our relationship with our physical surroundings.
